Next year I want to go to Illinois State and study to become a vet tech.
Volleyball has been a huge part of my life and has helped me grow as both a person and an athlete. It’s given me lifelong friendships and countless memories that I’ll always be grateful for.

I first started playing volleyball in 3rd grade for RIFAC. I also played for Rock Island Performance and have been playing for Iowa Select since 7th grade.
I am playing volleyball at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater majoring in kinesiology on the Pre-OT track. Playing volleyball has meant a lot more to me than just the sport itself. It has taught me the importance of trust, communication, confidence, and leadership that have all shaped me into the person I am today. I have learned so many lessons no matter win or loss and have met so many amazing people along the way.

Volleyball has always been more than just a sport for me. It’s helped me grow as a person and achieve goals I’ve always wanted. It’s guided me through hardships and taught me how to handle set backs. I’ve met some of my best friends throughout my high school and club career and I will never take that for granted.

I first started playing volleyball in middle school as part of my school’s volleyball program and continued playing through high school.
After graduation, I will attend Cornell College, where I will continue playing basketball while earning a degree in Elementary Education.

My future plans include attending a 4 year school to major in nutrition and play volleyball.
Playing volleyball was my childhood. Growing up watching my sisters play pushed me to the player I am today. Being able to play with my little sister as well has been the best experience since we have been playing in the backyard since we were little.

Volleyball is not just a sport for me, it was a blockage from stress outside. It allowed me to relax and enjoy my time with my teammates on and off the court. Volleyball has taught me life lessons that will be used outside of the game, it has taught me to slow down and enjoy the time I have left with the sport. I cherish every moment I laid foot on the court, and every match point, and lastly, not take anything for granted. I’ve learned how dedicated I can be when it comes to something that I care about, and love.
